About the Journal

Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the International Programme Committee, we would like kindly to invite you to participate in the 16th International Scientific Conference on Engineering, Technology and Systems – TechSys 2027.
The conference will be held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria at the Technical University of Sofia, Plovdiv Branch between 20 and 22 May 2027.
We are striving to respond to the utmost degree to the contemporary requirements for publication of papers, as well as to enhance the possibility that the presented papers be shared across the international academic community.

 Paper publishing:
There are two different options for paper publishing and respectively an independent selection process for both of them will proceed:

  • Option 1: The selected papers are going to be published Open Access in Engineering Proceedings by MDPI  indexed by a number of leading databases, including Scopus 

  • Option 2: The selected papers are going to be published in the volume 31 of Journal of the Technical University - Sofia, Plovdiv, Branch “Fundamental Sciences and Applications”, ISSN 2603-459X

Manuscript preparation:
Authors are encouraged to use the Microsoft Word template or LaTeX template to prepare their manuscript.  The number of pages should be between 6 and 12. The total amount of data for all files must not exceed 120 MB.
Please consider following instructions when you are preparing your manuscript for TECHSYS 2027:
  • Microsoft Word: Manuscripts prepared in Microsoft Word must be converted into a single file before submission. When preparing manuscripts in Microsoft Word, we encourage you to use the Microsoft Word template file. Please insert your graphics (schemes, figures, etc.) in the main text after the paragraph of its first citation.
  • LaTeX: Manuscripts prepared in LaTeX must be collated into one ZIP folder (including all source files and images, so that the Editorial Office can recompile the submitted PDF). When preparing manuscripts in LaTeX, we encourage you to use the LaTeX template files. You can now also use the online application writeLaTeX to submit articles directly to Engineering Proceedings. The MDPI LaTeX template file should be selected from the writeLaTeX template gallery.

  • Manuscript submission: Please upload your submission in both file formats - PDF and DOC (LaTeX).

!!! Two papers per author (co-author) in each publishing option are allowed.

!!! All papers have to be written in English.

Important dates:

09.03.2027 – Deadline for papers submission
18.04.2027 – Notification of acceptance *
28.04.2027 – Sending final version, registration and fee payment
20.05.2027 – Opening of TechSys 2027

  • Paper published in Engineering Proceedings by MDPI (Option 1)             - 300 EUR 
  • Paper published in Journal of the Technical University - Sofia,Plovdiv,
    Branch “Fundamental Sciences and Applications” (Option 2)                     -  50 EUR
  • Co-authors, participants without paper and accompanying papers         -  50 EUR
