TechSys2026

The 15th International Scientific Conference TechSys 2026 – Engineering, Technologies and Systems is organized by Technical University of Sofia, Plovdiv Branch within the frame of “Science Days of Technical University of Sofia” and supported by the University Scientific and Research Sector. The conference will be held on 14–16 May 2026 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

Over the years, the TechSys conference has been recognized as a leader in forums dedicated to technical science and engineering. It has become a dedicated space for meetings between leading researchers, young scientists, and representatives of leading companies in the industry. The primary goal of TechSys is to bring together individuals from academia and industry, scientists, and experts in engineering and technology to share their ideas and innovations. As a result, 141 selected articles that represent the significant results of the conference have been published in this volume.

The conference program included 6 thematic sessions:

Automation, Control Systems and Robotics.

Electrical Engineering and Electronics.

Computer Engineering, Informatics and Communications.

Mechanical Engineering.

Automotive and Aeronautical Engineering.

Materials Science.

During the three days of the conference, almost 200 researchers met to exchange ideas and establish networking for future research and collaborations.

We would like to express sincere gratitude to Professor Nikola K. Kasabov, PhD for his inspiring plenary lecture on " Generative-, Predictive-, Agentic AI and AGI: All they need is Neural Networks and What can Bulgaria Offer?". Prof. Kasabov is a Life Fellow of IEEE, Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand, Fellow of the INNS College of Fellows, DVF of the Royal Academy of Engineering UK. He has Doctor Honoris Causa from Obuda University, Budapest. He is the Founding Director of KEDRI and Professor Emeritus at the School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand.

We would also like to thank to the representatives of ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions, Carl Zeiss Bulgaria EOOD for their plenary speak on the innovation in metrology provided by ZEISS Innovation.

We would like to thank all the authors who have contributed to the conference. To thank all those researchers who recognized the TechSys as an appropriate forum to share their recent developments and get latest trends in the technical sciences and engineering field.
